Sue Omar is a freelance journalist and presenter who challenges beauty and cultural stereotypes through her extensive body of work that features topics such as body positivity, the politics of Afro hair and modest fashion. Sue is the author of stylist.co.uk six-part series, #AllAboutAfro, that untangles the experience of Black hair from a feminist perspective. Sue is also the woman behind The Black Beauty Guide – her very own ELLE UK beauty column where she offers beauty solutions for women of colour. Elsewhere Sue has written for Metro, The Debrief and previously worked at beauty supplement, Spell Magazine. Sue also has a lifestyle channel on YouTube where she shares 120-pound natural weight loss secrets with over half a million viewers. Her fitness events company, Women Who Workout, also launched earlier this year with the goal to motivate women of all shapes and sizes to eat better and move more. Sue’s fitness journey has also been featured in major media outlets including UK Women’s Health Magazine and BBC Radio 5 Live on Adrian Chiles’ breakfast show.
